Also called pineapple verbena. It is a wonderfully fragrant plant. Not only do the flowers have an intense fragrance of jasmine, but the leaves, when crushed, have a spicy aroma of citrus, honey, and vanilla.

Randy’s description of this plant was borne out exactly in my experience with it, and, like him, I now wonder why more people are not raving about this pretty, delicious gem. Probably it is just a matter of time, but I guess Randy can say, “you heard it here first”! I found Nashia to be a charming plant to grow, and in the next week or so I plan to prepare a place for it to over-winter inside.
