Possum Purple was developed by Robert Barnum at Possum Trot Farm in Florida. It is a Passiflora edulis edulis variety with medium sized purple fruit. It is highly productive, completely self fertile, and the fruit quality is as good as it gets. Very sweet and very flavorful. For fruit production, this is the best passionfruit cultivar that I have available.
